CLIMATE
|
|
Climate in Morocco is as varied as its diverse
geography. On most trips you will traverse from the
coast into the interior plains, extending your route
into the foothills or highlands of the Atlas range up
to 13,700' elevation. You may also visit the dry
southern slopes of the Sahara Desert. June through
September is summer in Morocco when you can expect
little rain and some hot temperatures into the 90°'s
or even breaking 100° F if the desert winds from the
Sahara (known as the sirocco or chergui) are blowing.
The typically dry atmosphere of the desert can sway
temperatures from hot in the day to freezing at night.
Hiking in the Atlas Mountains is generally sunny,
pleasantly warm and cool at night. Shoulder season of
April-May and October are particularly pleasant months
to travel.

FLIGHTS
|
|
We
do not include flights in any of our tours, because we
have found that many of are clients are very
travel-wise and capable of finding great deals online.
However, we can recommend Royal Air Maroc as a good
option, their direct flights from JFK to Casablanca
normally leave at 7pm and arrive at 6am the next
morning (Morocco time).
